Putting people first

To be held at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand from 6 to 8 June 2023, A-OSH Expo 2023 is Africa’s largest platform for organisations sourcing occupational safety and health (OSH) products and services. This year’s rendition is sure to be another crowd-pleaser.

“Organisations need to heed the call to make the workplace safer for employees. Not only is there legislation outlining what is required from employers in the OHS Act, but furthermore, it speaks to the value placed on human capital by organisations,” says Mark Anderson, portfolio director at Specialised Exhibitions — a division of the Montgomery Group. “The benefits of adopting OHS programmes at work are twofold — firstly, compliance with regulations is met, and secondly, employees are more productive.”

A-OSH Expo is co-located with the 30-year-old Securex exhibition, the established Facilities Management Expo, and the recently launched Firexpo. “Visitors are able to source a wide range of safety and security solutions from exhibitors at all four expos, all under one roof. The time and cost-saving benefits are clear, and visitors can further maximise their time at the expos by pre-registering to attend online,” says Anderson.

A wide variety of products will be exhibited, including Blackline Safety connected gas detection and lone worker monitoring technology from Trigas (Stand A29), as well as Saryx Engineering Group’s award-winning digital health and safety solution HSEC Online (Stand D05).

Gas detection specialist GfG (Stand C06) will showcase portable gas detectors and fixed gas detection systems, while Runrite will showcase the brand new Alcolizer Centurion Quantum on its stand (AA08). The company also specialises in compliance level gas detection for work conducted in hazardous environments.

VBS (Stand D02), meanwhile, brings hearing testing to millions of people worldwide. The fully boothless KuduWave is an industry-credited, clinically validated diagnostic audiometer that seamlessly integrates bone conduction and uses high-frequency testing for screening and full diagnostic tests.

In addition to thousands of products and technologies on show at the four co-located shows, A-OSH Expo visitors will benefit from a section displaying new products, the premier visitor lounge, the Saiosh free-to-attend seminar theatre, and the free-to-attend Working at Height theatre. “The seminar theatres are characterised by high-quality topics and themes, presented by respected spokespeople in the occupational and safety space,” says Anderson.
